In this project on a new vineyard, a 70% reduction in fungicide use was accomplished without compromising thequality of the vines. As a result of tea applications, only 3 fungicide sprays were needed in a growing season that was affected by 2 hurricanes with over 20 inches of rainfall in 5 months. The following season when the program was discontinued, 12 fungicide applications were needed to control disease.
